Webroot released their 2020 threat report. Here are some takeaways and a link to the full report at the bottom:
- Phishing grew tremendously in 2019 (+640%)
- 8.9 million URLs were found hosting cryptojacking scripts
- 85% of threats hide in 1 of 4 locations: %temp%, %appdata%, %cache%, and %windir%
- 93.6% of detected malware was only seen on a single PC
- 1 in 4 malicious URLs were hosted on otherwise non-malicious websites
